well 2day strange thing happened. when plyin soccer wif sec 1s n some sec 3s, i accidentally kicked the ball straight in2 the notice board glass. well the glass shattered juz like my heart. of all ppl 2 happen to, it muz b me. ah well wats done was done i culdn possibly piece back the shattered glass.
well when teacher came of coz i owned up. i mean i was wrong n i knew i had 2 own up. juz then the teacher asked me a very interestin qns:" where r the other boys who were plying also" very good qns i noticed. i turned back n saw i was almost alone cept for 4 sec1s. ironically, i expected the sec3s 2 b wif me. yet the truth left something 2 be desired. then i was lectured hmm seems like 2 harsh a word but the teacher n principal told me gently tat nxt time if i wanna ply soccer, go to the field. tats all tat happened. thank god i wasen severely punished. tats the end of the whole soccer saga.
after tis incident it left me thinking v hard abt tis qns. wats loyalty n friendship worth to ppl nwadays? when the teacher asked me where the other boys were, i culd only see them blending in wif the crowd at the canteen n subsequently disappearing out of view. somehw i feel theres a lack of integrity or loyalty. dun get me wrong, my meaning of loyalty is nt my so called friends sticking up to me n insisting tat ive done no wrong. loyalty means they dun leave me in the lurch when trouble arises. after being asked tat qns, i looked at the sec3s whom i will nt name n they juz turned away like i dont noe them. rite... so tats wat u call frens? i replied to the teacher "think they r gone". i culd hav easily pointed out those ppl plyin soccer but i chose nt to. im nt tryin 2 sound noble or seem 2 b a gd samaritan but i saw no need in draggin my "frens" down. hwever it was their attitude tat left me reconsidering wat friendship actually is all abt. wat is friendship, wat is a fren? 1 who joins u when ure havin fun n deserting u when trouble arises? thruout the 5mins when the teacher(s) were tokin 2 me n after they left. among the swarm of students plyin soccer, nt 1 came forward 2 show me care. yea some sec1s stayed wif me thruout the teachers' lecture mainly bcoz of their noseyness tat i dun noe. but i noe tat they chose 2 face punishment wif me rather than the others who juz turned their back n walked away tryin 2 avoid punishment. after tat some ppl, whom i can truely call frens, came over n asked hw was everything. nt like wat they say can help much but at least it showed they cared. they even reprimanded the 2 sec3s who did nt face the teachers wif me. even some gur guides who were nt plyin at all n din even noe me tried 2 help me speak up as in qns the teachers rule of cannot ply soccer at the flag raising place. i thank these ppl for they really showed 2 me wat true frens can b. comparing them 2 some fictacious ppl who laugh wif u durin happy times n avoiding u when ure in trouble, the former grp is so much better than the latter grp. 1more example, tis guy in my class who has a foul mouth at times ( hint hint think all u ppl noe already) in bball cca offered his help even though he did nt ply soccer at all. n the sec1s who stayed wif me gt scolded by a physics teacher( apologise for draggin u ppl down) helped to sweep all the glass fragments in2 1 pile. these ppl wif their little acts of helpfulness has really touched me for at least i noe tat u can find true frens who will support n offer their help 2 u in times of need.
